Individual Counseling & Advocacy

Advocates provide crisis intervention and long-term supportive services to adults and children who are affected by sexual and domestic abuse. On-going support and advocacy are provided to both shelter and community clients. They include:

• Safety planning
• Medical advocacy
• Law enforcement advocacy
• Criminal justice support and advocacy
• Crime victims compensation assistance
• Goal setting
• Support groups
• Assistance with budgeting
• Children’s advocacy & programming
• Help with petitions for restraining orders
• Assistance in locating affordable housing
• Overcoming obstacles to employment
• Information about and coordination of services with community resources
• Therapy referrals

• Adult Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse
• Children’s Group
• Young Parents Group
